Insert Molding
Denver Plastics offers insert molding
solutions to meet functional and cosmetic
needs. The process involves plastic to metal
or plastic to plastic molding process. A
Major benefit of insert molding is the
consolidation of components offering part
and inventory cost reductions. Based on
volume, inserts may be hand fed or
automated.
Rapid Prototyping
Nothing communicates design ideas faster
than three-dimensional part or model. Denver
Plastics has this ability through the
process of Rapid Prototyping. Rapid
prototyping is a technology that is
typically referred to as additive
fabrication because the process involves
building up the object by adding successive
layers. This process involves providing CAD
drawing information to the rapid prototyping
machine, which then uses that data to
incrementally create the part. This is
different from traditional subtractive
methods such as milling, turning, EDM, etc.
Subtractive techniques begin with raw
material that is larger that the object to
be created and material is removed or carved
out to create the object.
Call Denver Plastics today to have your part
created in 3D!
Gas Assist Molding
Denver Plastics are proud to offer gas
assist molding. Gas assist injection molding
is a variation of conventional injection
molding that can be easily retrofitted to an
existing injection press by the addition of
an auxiliary gas unit. The usual injection
of molten plastic is assisted by the
introduction of pressurized gas (usually
nitrogen) into the mold. The gas produces a
bubble which pushes the plastic into the
extremities of the mold creating hollow
sections as the bubble propagates. |
